Vice President of Ghana, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has stated that government has been unsuccessful in convincing PayPal to add Ghana to the list of countries their payment system works in.
Regardless of the advancement in talks, the Vice President indicated that they have blacklisted Ghana.
Bawumia made this known when he met people in the creative economy on Wednesday October 16, 2024.
He,however, revealed that government is working to get an alternative to PayPal in order for creatives to access their monies they make from the various online platforms. "In terms of dealing with international commerce,PayPal for example we don't have access to PayPal.
