Ghana's woes in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier continued unabated on Tuesday as the Black Stars suffered a setback against Sudan in their fourth qualifying match, succumbing to a shocking 2-0 defeat.

Ghana are yet to record a win in the 2025 AFCON qualifiers after four matches with an unwanted record of two losses and two draws.

The loss has sparked widespread disappointment and frustration among fans and former players, not least former coach Charles Kwabla (CK) Akonnor.

In an exclusive interview with 3Sports after the game, the former Ghana coach shared his candid thoughts, highlighting the team's inability to gel as a primary concern. "We've always known that the team has not been in a situation where they are playing like a team, despite individual brilliance, the collective effort has been lacking." C.K Akonnor stated. "They are in a challenging moment for them, and they need to get out quickly, or else it will not turn good," He added Black Stars remain in third position in Group F with only two points after four matches in the AFCON qualifiers and are on the verge of not qualifying for the tournament for the first time since 2004.
