The presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Former President John Dramani Mahama, has said the NDC has a number of initiatives to create jobs for them.

These policies include the plan to establish a women's development bank, the 24-Hour Economy, the One Million Coders programme and National Apprenticeship Programmes, To that end, Mr Mahama has urged the youth of Ghana not to lose hope in the country.

He urged them to have hope and believe in the future of Ghana under his administration if he is voted for in the elections this year.

In a Facebook post after his tour of Upper West on Tuesday, October 15, he said "Thank you #UpperWest NDC youth wing, Wa UBIDS TEIN and the TEIN branches from other tertiary institutions in Wa for the campus connect programme on Monday night. "I encourage the youth to have hope again and believe in the future of Ghana because the next NDC administration has laid out a number of job creation initiatives including the 24hour economy, the one million coders programme, the Adwumawura and National Apprenticeship Programmes, the establishment of a women's development bank among others."
