General Secretary of the University of Ghana chapter of the University Teachers Association (UTAG), Ransford Gyampo has asked members to disregard a group calling itself the silent majority.
According to him, they number up to 57 and can certainly not be a silent majority like they claim to be.
Apart from their slim numbers, Gyampo in a statement shared via social media said a number of their members are non lecturers and are not fit to complain about UTAG's decision.
He insisted that UTAG's decision to strike because of illegal mining still holds and will be only rescinded when NEC decides.
