Kingsley Adumattah Agyapong commonly known as Wofa K, the Chairman of the United Kingdom branch of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), addressed the pressing issue of illegal mining, known as galamsey, and shared his views on Dr Mahamudu Bawumia's efforts to combat the menace.
In a recent appearance on Peace FM monitored by MyNewsGH.com, he shared that his remarks were influenced by a disturbing video he had seen, which depicted a man recklessly destroying agricultural land to establish a galamsey site. "This is beyond just a political issue; it's a matter of national survival," Wofa K emphasized during the interview.
He expressed his outrage at the audacity of the man in the video, who threatened local farmers against returning to their lands. "To see someone challenge our authorities and say they can do whatever they want is infuriating.
We cannot sit back and watch our lands being destroyed," he declared.
