In her view, Dr Bawumia has no messages to tout during the debate because he failed as vice president. Contributing to a discussion on TV3's Big Issue on Thursday, August 8 regarding the upcoming presidential debate by the Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA), she said "Dr. Bawumia should go and debate Alan Kyerematen, Alan alone will floor him." "I wonder why Bawumia is calling for a debate when he knows he will be defeated during the debate," Nana Yaa Jantuah added. Meanwhile, a distinguished fellow at the Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA), Sophia Akuffo has justified the need for a presidential debate going into the 2024 general elections.
