The hope of the Ghana Black Stars booking a place in the 2025 African Cup of Nations (Afcon) has been dimed after losing 2-0 to the Sudanese side which is coached by a former Black Stars captain and coach, Kwesi Appiah.

Ghana and Sudan played a goalless draw game in their first-leg encounter hosted in Accra.

A scoreline that got many Ghanaians disappointed in the national team with others calling for the dismissal of Otto Addo as the national team coach.

However, the supporters of the Black Stars were expectant of an away win against Sudan as Coach Otto Addo and some analysts argued that Ghana was the better side in the first leg but was unlucky to have picked all three points.
