Member of the National Cathedral's Board of Trustees has questioned the rationale behind calls to suspend payments to workers simply because the construction is temporarily halted.
According to Rev Dr Joyce Aryee, it is not a legitimate move because there are officials maintaining the project. "If a project is on hold, it doesn't mean that people are not working to keep it going," she said on Monday.
Addressing the press, Rev Dr Aryee expressed surprise describing the suggestion as ridiculous. "I'm surprised, I don't even want to comment on it, as ridiculous as this.
