The National Executive Councils (NEC) of the Senior Staff Association, Universities of Ghana (SSA-UoG) and the Federation of University Senior Staff Association of Ghana (FUSSAG) hereby give notice of the suspension of their strike action, effective Wednesday, 16.
October, 2024 after an Emergency Meeting held on Monday, 14th October, 2024.
The NEC have taken this decision after the Government issued a letter indicating that the new rate of the Vehicle Maintenance Allowance (VMA) and Off Campus Allowance be paid to eligible members of the Association.
Again, it has also become necessary so that the Association can engage and conclude negotiations with Government on the Conditions of Service (CoS) which had already began.
