The National Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress, Johnson Asiedu Nketia has expressed concerns about the declining voter turnout in the Volta region.
Mr Asiedu Nketia who is on a four-day tour of the Volta region, said the party (NDC) needs a significant number of votes from the region which is considered as the party's stronghold to boost its chances of winning the December 7, polls and urged party supporters to come out in their numbers to vote.
He urged party members to avoid complacency and ensure that every single registered voter in the region casts a ballot on the day of election.
He said, "I'm not going to teach you how to vote correctly, but I'm coming to beg you to avoid complacency." "If you're leaving in Tongu, you've the tendency of assuming that one vote does not count and so you can go to your farm, other people will vote and Gabby (parliamentary candidate) will win.
