The Ghana Medical Association (GMA) has said that it has not declared a roadmap for an industrial action.

Therefore, the GMA said, all members are expected to continue providing full services without interruptions.

The GMA however, said it is in solidarity with the Organized Labour in the fight against illegal small scale mining (Galamsey). "The National Executive Council (NEC) will give further information when necessary," a statement said.

The GMA's directive to members comes at a time when members of Organised Labour had resolved to proceed with the nationwide strike on October 10 despite being urged by President Akufo-Addo to give him more time to address their concerns during a meeting on October 4.
