Arsenal star Thomas Partey will miss Ghana's crucial doubleheader against Sudan in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers, sparking doubts and concerns about his commitment to the national team.

Despite featuring prominently in Arsenal's Premier League campaign this season, including a stellar 84-minute performance in the Gunners' 3-1 victory over Southampton on October 5, Partey has been ruled out of the upcoming international fixtures.

His absence comes as a surprise, especially given that he has avoided the injury troubles that plagued him last season.

The 30-year-old midfielder had initially been named in coach Otto Addo's 25-man squad for the qualifiers against Sudan.
