The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Women's Organizer, Kate Gyamfua, has angered Ghanaians after calling for anti-galamsey protests to be postponed until after the elections.

Speaking during an interview on Adom FM, Gyamfua said those protesting should hold on for the elections to pass by and after that everyone would join them including the NPP.

She said galamsey issues have been plaguing this country for years so how come these protests are happening just before the elections, implying that they are being done deliberately to make the government unpopular.
