The second day of the ongoing "#FreeTheCitizens" and "#SayNoToGalamsey protest will witness a petition by the organisers, Coalition of Concerned Citizens Against Galamsey to the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources.
The petition will happen today, October 4, as the demonstration against galamsey will continue till Saturday.
On Thursday, October 3, the first day of the demonstration, the organisers petitioned the Office of the Attorney General on the matter and called for the release of the detained protesters who were arrested on September 22.
The protest aims to raise awareness about the harmful effects of illegal mining and to push for more decisive action in combating the practice.
