John Mahama, the Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has vowed to launch a strong fight against corruption in his next government if he wins the December 7 presidential election.
According to the former president, under his leadership, anti-corruption institutions will be empowered to operate effectively and independently.
Addressing a gathering of the clergy in Accra on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, Mahama stated that no one found guilty of corrupt activities would be spared. "We will launch a strong anti-corruption fight and give anti-corruption institutions unfettered space to do their work.
We will launch Operation Recover All the Loot (ORAL) to investigate, prosecute, and recover the proceeds of corruption.
