"As a company, we derive value not only from our day to day business but also through the impact we make in the lives of individuals and families living in the communities we operate," she stated.

She also stressed that, in order to ensure that their efforts are sustainable, Nestlé believes in the principle of creating shared value along with their entire value chain.

“In ensuring healthy and quality healthy living of our customers, we have over 62 years been generously committed to building healthy happy lives for individuals and families, through the provision of healthier and tastier food choices that complements the nutritional needs for growth and wellbeing of Individuals and Families. Our products, which includes, fortified with Iron, Vitamin C and other micronutrients,” she added.

"This is our contribution to dealing with the high levels of iron deficiency leading to anaemia in our population. The 2014 Ghana Demographic and Health Survey indicates that two-thirds of children are anaemic, it is most common in Northern region with a rate of 82% and least common in Ashanti region at a rate of 54%. Also, 42% of women are reported to be anaemic. So, we have fortified our favourite MILO, NIDO, IDEAL milk powder, our MAGGI bouillon and most importantly Cerelac.”

She said, the theme for 2019, is “Delivering Growth".  This is to continue to do so in an ever increasingly dynamic environment and also to have leverage on a strong relationship and continue to enhance our distribution capabilities, stay relevant to their consumers and build on each other’s core expertise.”
