Muniru Sulley explains reason behind Kotoko contract termination Featured
Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko announced on Friday morning that their two-year contract with Muniru Sulley has been abrogated by mutual consent.
The 28-year-old who joined Asante Kotoko on a free transfer in November reached an agreement with the management of the club to terminate his contract without any compensation.
Muniru explained via an Instagram post that he opted to end his stint with Asante Kotoko by mutual consent after receiving an offer to make a return to European football.
He is the younger brother of Ghana legend Sulley Ali Muntari
Muniru returned to the Ghana Premier League after eight years where he left Liberty Professionals to join Romanian top-flight league side CFR Cluj.
He previously featured for FCSB, Tondela, Yeni Malatyaspor, Dinamo Minsk and FC Tambov.
