Profile Summary
Results-driven pharma sales and marketing professional with strong knowledge of prescription drugs, OTC products, and healthcare regulations. Skilled at building relationships with doctors, pharmacists, hospitals, and distributors to drive product adoption and sales growth. Combines scientific understanding with persuasive communication to educate healthcare providers and meet revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales & Territory Management: Promote assigned portfolio of pharmaceutical products to HCPs, clinics, pharmacies, and hospitals in assigned territory. Meet/exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Medical Marketing: Deliver accurate product presentations, organize CMEs, product launches, and roundtable discussions. Translate clinical data into clear benefits for doctors/patients.
  • Relationship Building: Develop strong rapport with physicians, pharmacists, procurement officers, and key opinion leaders. Maintain regular visit schedules and follow-up.
  • Market Intelligence: Track competitor activity, pricing, new launches, and market trends. Report insights to marketing team to refine strategy.
  • Demand Generation: Work with distributors and wholesalers to ensure product availability, manage inventory, and reduce stock-outs.
  • Compliance: Follow all pharma marketing codes, regulatory guidelines, and company ethics. Ensure all claims are approved and evidence-based.
  • Reporting: Maintain CRM records, call reports, sales data, and feedback from the field.

Requirements

Required Skills or Experience

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree Marketing. Pharma background preferred.
  • Experience: 2-4 years in pharma sales/marketing. Fresh grads with medical rep internship also considered.
  • Licenses: Good standing with Pharmacy Council
  • Other: Valid driver’s license + willingness to travel. Fluency in English + local language

Skills

  • Product Knowledge: Understanding of pharmacology, indications, dosage, side effects, and contraindications
  • Sales Skills: Negotiation, objection handling, closing, and territory planning
  • Communication: Ability to explain complex medical info simply to doctors, pharmacists, and patients
  • Analytical: Use sales data + market data to prioritize doctors/clinics and adjust tactics
  • Digital: Comfortable with CRM, virtual detailing, WhatsApp/email follow-up, and basic presentations

  • Monthly sales vs target by SKU
  • Number of quality doctor calls per day
