West Africa Network for Peacebuilding (WANEP), The West Africa Network for Peacebuilding (WANEP), a leading regional peacebuilding civil society organization in West Africa is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Coordinator to lead the design, implementation, and management of monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning systems across its network.
The Regional M & E Coordinator,
- Leads in the development and establishment of an M&E system including the development of outcome indicators for all program activities as well as developing an organization-wide core set of indicators.
- Regularly reviews and improves the M&E system by seeking stakeholder inputs and through consultations with staff and practitioners.
- Leads in organizing review and reflection and other M&E processes that enhance accountability, learning and improvement
- Provides technical support to M&E focal persons in all 15 National Networks
- Collates program data and information from the regional and National Network offices and develops half year and annual reports for core partners and earmarked projects and other partners as may be decided by management.
- Provides technical assistance and data for the M&E component of grant proposal development.
- Coordinates and liaises with independent external evaluators in periodic assessments and strategic evaluations.
- Liaises with I T to c r e a t e and maintain online M&E framework/guideline for regional, national and field staff.
- Coordinates, develops training materials and facilitates training and presentations for capacity building in M&E for staff and member organizations.
- Advises Management through Program Director on the implementation and coordination of WANEP’s programs at the regional and national networks
- Provides consultancy services on behalf of the organization
Requirements
Required Skills or Experience
Qualifications and Experience
- Master's degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, Statistics, Economics, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive experience in monitoring and evaluation, preferably within the development, humanitarian or non-profit sector.
- Strong knowledge of M&E methodologies, logical frameworks, results-based management, and data quality assurance.
- Experience with quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis.
- Proficiency in data analysis software and tools such as Excel, Power BI, SPSS, STATA, KoboToolbox, ODK, or similar platforms.
- Excellent report-writing and communication skills.
- Experience managing donor-funded projects.
- Familiarity with international donor reporting requirements.
- Experience with GIS, data visualization, and research methodologies.
- Excellent report-writing and communication skills
- Knowledge of French is an added advantage.
