Position Summary
We are looking for a Business Development Manager who will play a critical role in driving revenue growth, expanding the organisation's client portfolio, and identifying new business opportunities across local and international markets. You will be responsible for developing and executing business development strategies, building strong client relationships, and securing new contracts that contribute to the organisation's commercial objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales

  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities across target sectors and markets.
  • Develop and implement business development strategies to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Generate and manage a pipeline of prospective clients through networking, referrals, research, and outreach activities.
  • Lead client meetings, presentations, proposals, and commercial negotiations.
  • Prepare, review, and refine proposals, quotations, and commercial documentation to ensure competitiveness and alignment with client requirements.
  • Convert qualified opportunities into long-term client relationships and revenue-generating contracts.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders.
  • Act as a trusted advisor by understanding client needs and recommending appropriate solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for account growth, cross-selling, and long-term partnership development.
  • Ensure a high standard of client engagement and satisfaction throughout the sales lifecycle.

Market Intelligence & Strategic Growth

  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive developments.
  • Monitor competitor activity and provide recommendations to strengthen market positioning.
  • Identify and establish strategic partnerships that support organisational growth and market expansion.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to support service development, pricing strategies, and commercial decision-making.

Collaboration & Reporting

  • Work closely with operations, marketing, recruitment, and leadership teams to develop solutions that meet client requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of opportunities, client interactions, and sales activities within CRM systems.
  • Track performance against agreed targets and provide regular pipeline and business development reports.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and the development of business development processes and strategies.

Requirements

Required Skills or Experience

Qualifications & Experience

  • A Bachelor's degree, HND, professional certification, or equivalent practical experience in business, marketing, sales, finance, management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in business development, sales, account management, client acquisition, or a similar commercial role.
  • Experience within the BPO, outsourcing, consulting, recruitment, technology, professional services, or related sectors is advantageous.
