CAF Champions League: Ghanaian Rahim Osumanu's debut goal helps Zesco to beat Nigerien side AS Sonidep

Ghanaian striker Rahim Osumanu climbed off the bench to score his first goal for Zesco in their 2-1 win at AS Sonidep of  Niger on Tuesday night in Niamey.

The former Buildcon player entered the pitch in the  66 the minute to replace Kenya international striker Jesse Were to open the scoring.

Osumanu put Zesco ahead in the 75th minute off an assist from Burundi international midfielder Enock Sabumukama.

But Sonidep equalized five minutes later through their own substitute Koffi Dognon who came on for Sinyako Hamidou in the 65th minute.

Zesco restored their advantage in the 85th minute when Lazarus Kambole latched on to a Maybin Kalengo pass to seal the win.

The return leg will be played at Levy Mwanawasa  Stadium in  Ndola on  5 December to decide who goes through to the final knockout round on 15 December to face five-time  African champions TP Mazembe.
