We’ll resist interference by political parties – CLOGSAG warns

The Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana (CLOGSAG) has vowed to oppose any attempt to interfere with the integrity of the Civil Service and Local Government Service by political entities.

In an address at a “Thanksgiving May Day” celebration, Executive Secretary of the Civil and Local Government Staff Association Ghana, Isaac Bampoe Addo, urged all members to stand firm against attempts to politicise their work.

“The public perception of political corruption in all its forms including bias, nepotism, abuse of position, capacity and lack of accountability will be endangered thereby weakening the effectiveness of this government services.

“In this coming election, the people of the Republic of Ghana should ensure that they vote for a government that will uphold the principles of neutrality, anonymity and permanency in the civil service and the local government service.

“CLOGSAG will resist the invasion of the civil service and local government service by political apparatchiks, “goro” boys and the Almighty God will help us,” Mr Bampoe Addo said.
