
Vaal tavern robbery case postponed to 17 August
The case against six men accused of rape, robbery, attempted murder and assault at a tavern in Tshepiso in Sharpeville has been postponed to the 17th of August.
The men allegedly went on to the home of tavern owner, Themba Khambule, where they shot him in the leg before robbing him of cash, household belongings and bank cards.
The accused made a brief appearance in the Vereeniging Magistrate’s Court this morning.
