Led by US Representative to the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) Dan Negrea, this week’s forum will be “making the case for how does the US government support its friends and allies and partners around the world through greater engagement in programmes like the US Trade and Development Agency (USTDA), US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), and [US Export-Import Bank],” Tom Hardy, chief executive of USTDA, told The Africa Report at a press briefing.

The US Mission to the UN will host a high-level forum this afternoon at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square with government officials, businesses and international organisations.

Starting Thursday through Sunday (16-19 July), Hope Edge International and the Global Initiative for Africa host the African Ambassadors Economic Forum 2026.
