According to preliminary findings by investigators, Ode allegedly confessed to facilitating the removal of a kidney from a 22-year-old man identified as Samuel Ezekiel.

Investigators alleged that on April 24, 2026, Ode took Ezekiel to Wellington Hospital in the Life Camp area of Abuja for a kidney removal procedure after allegedly agreeing to pay him N1.

The suspects were identified as 23-year-old Emmanuel Ode, a resident of Auta Balefi; Dr Benjamin Oyime, 48, a nephrologist and consultant at Wellington Hospital; and Dr Daniel Otokpa, also a nephrologist and reportedly the hospital’s second-in-command.
