Tinubu approves recruitment of 3,252 PTA teachers into federal service
By Joseph Erunke ABUJA — President Bola Tinubu has approved the recruitment process for 3,252 verified Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) teachers into the federal public service, a move aimed at addressing teacher shortages in Federal Unity Colleges and improving the quality of education across the country.
The minister disclosed that the Federal Ministry of Education is already working with relevant government agencies to complete the remaining statutory procedures required for the issuance of letters of appointment in line with public service regulations.
He added that the Federal Government would continue to implement reforms aimed at strengthening the teaching profession, improving learning outcomes and ensuring that every student in the nation’s Federal Unity Colleges is taught by qualified, motivated and professionally supported teachers.
