
TCN declares force majeure as tower on Kainji-BirninKebbi line collapses
By Obas Esiedesa, Abuja The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has declared force majeure on the 330kV Kainji-BirninKebbi transmission line following the collapse of a transmission tower along the corridor.
According to the company, the alternative route utilises the 132kV Zaria-Funtua-Gusau transmission line.
Meanwhile, TCN said it had maintained electricity transmission to Sokoto by enabling the TalataMafara-Sokoto corridor to receive supply through an alternative transmission route from the Kaduna-Mando axis.
