Swimming pool officials in Giza detained after child drowns

By GhanaSummary NewsroomEgypt

The Public Prosecution Office in Giza on Tuesday ordered the detention of the director of a swimming academy and two coaches for four days pending investigations into the death of a child in a swimming pool at a club in Badrashin.

Security services in the Giza Security Directorate are conducting investigations to uncover the circumstances of the incident and determine whether negligence led to the death of eight-year-old Rahim, who drowned while in the swimming pool.

Detectives questioned several club officials, employees, and swimming pool supervisors to determine the cause of the incident.
