Son of Zambian bishop detained in post-election raid fears for his father's safety

Opposition leader Brian Mundubile, head of the National Reconciliation Party for Unity and Prosperity (NRPUP), had gone into hiding after disputing the election result, but has since also been detained by the authorities.

Eno Mwamba said his father, who is leader of the United National Independence Party, has been charged with treason following President Hakainde Hichilema's disputed election victory.

The government accuses the opposition of planning an armed insurgency and have charged the detained politicians with treason.
