Soldiers rescue two kidnapped persons in Plateau
Troops of Operation Enduring Peace (OPEP) have rescued two kidnapped persons during separate operations in Bassa and Kanam Local Government Areas of Plateau State.“Similarly, in the early hours of Wednesday, August 26, 2026, troops of Sector 2 of Operation Enduring Peace, deployed at Kukawa Village in Kanam Local Government Area, during a fighting patrol, encountered suspected terrorist elements along the patrol route,” Mr Oteh said.
Mr Oteh, a captain, said the operations were conducted on Tuesday and Wednesday as part of efforts to deny criminal elements freedom of movement and restore peace across the state.
