SABC internships give young people workplace experience

By GhanaSummary NewsroomSouth Africa

WATCH | The SABC and MICT SETA are helping tackle youth unemployment by providing workplace experience and career pathways, with more than 100 interns joining the broadcaster this financial year.

It also supports the National Development Plan’s goal of expanding workplace experience and economic opportunities for young South Africans.

The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) says the 47 000 internship applications it received this year reflect the growing demand for opportunities among young people in a challenging job market.
