Roads and infrastructure in Northern Cape damaged due to floods

MEC for Roads and Public Works Bentley Vass says teams are now assessing the damage and working with other departments to provide support.

Our interest as a department is our motorists but also to say that we are really worried about the state of affairs but we will work closely with the national departments making sure that we lobby them for financial support making sure that we address the challenges facing these communities.“The team are on the ground making an assessment in terms of the damages up until now and we are, as the departments, the Department of Corporate Governance as well as Agriculture and our department as well as other stakeholders, we are focusing to give support and making sure that at least our people are safe.
