Rising insecurity: UNIJOS summons students to emergency meeting

Ishaya said the meeting would address general security concerns within the university community, recent unhealthy activities involving students and measures required to protect the welfare of all members of the institution.“In view of recent events that threaten the peace, security and good image of our University, I have approved the convening of a crucial meeting with all students of the University of Jos,” the Vice-Chancellor stated.“The primary objective of this meeting is to deliberate on general security concerns within the University community, recent unhealthy activities of students and to chart a collective course of action to safeguard the well-being of all members of the University community,” the memo added.
