Police seize counterfeit goods worth R369k in raids across Gauteng

Gauteng police have seized counterfeit and illicit goods worth nearly R370 000 in three separate operations on the West Rand and in Sedibeng, south of the province, this week.“The South African Police Service (SAPS) Gauteng remains committed to disrupting the distribution and sale of counterfeit, contraband and illicit goods, which undermine legitimate businesses and may pose health and safety risks to consumers,” she adds.

The operations targeted 27 shops suspected of selling illegal and counterfeit products.
