Police mopped up 34 illegal weapons in Osun ahead poll – Force PRO

By Shina Abubakar, Osogbo The Nigeria Police Force has disclosed that it has mopped up 34 illegal firearms ahead of the governorship election in Osun State.

The Force PRO had earlier disclosed that apart from the 15,000 policemen deployed to the state, police helicopter and drone units have also arrived the state to conduct aerial surveillance before, during and immediately after the election.

This was disclosed by the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Aniete Iniedu, while fielding questions from stakeholders at the town hall meeting held at the Osun State police command headquarters in Osogbo on Thursday.
