PM: Agricultural sector witnesses unprecedented quantum leap in line with state’s vision

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly asserted that Egypt’s agricultural sector is undergoing an unprecedented transformation in line with the state’s vision and strategy to expand agricultural and livestock production, with the aim of meeting domestic market needs and boosting Egyptian exports in this vital sector, which is considered a key pillar of the country’s sustainable and comprehensive development efforts.

Madbouly added that the government is also continuing intensive efforts to develop the livestock sector to strengthen food security, secure citizens’ needs for meat and dairy products, narrow the gap between domestic production and consumption, stabilize the local market and reduce reliance on imports.

He said the government is continuing its field s to private-sector agricultural and livestock projects as part of efforts to encourage greater private investment in these areas and address any challenges facing investors, reflecting the state’s firm belief in the private sector’s vital role in driving development, attracting investment, and supporting economic growth.
