NFF names Abdulrahaman new NPFL COO after league board sack

By GhanaSummary NewsroomNigeria

NFF interim General Secretary, Emmanuel Ikpeme, said the appointment followed Thursday’s directive requiring the chairmen, appointed directors and chief executive officers of the NPFL, Nigeria National League (NNL), Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) and Nationwide League One to vacate their positions.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has appointed Ayo Abdulrahaman as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), a day after the federation dissolved the leadership of the country’s major domestic leagues.“The reform must respond to a longstanding need to strengthen governance, administration, stakeholder representation, development pathways, domestic competitions and accountability across Nigerian football,” the president said.
