LAWMA shuts Tejuosho–Ojuelegba shops over waste offences
LAWMA has, in recent months, intensified enforcement against environmental offenders as part of the Lagos State Government’s efforts to improve sanitation, discourage indiscriminate waste disposal and ensure cleaner public spaces across the metropolis.
The enforcement exercise, carried out by the agency’s Waste Investigation, Surveillance and Enforcement (WISE) team on Thursday, followed the expiration of compliance notices earlier issued to affected business owners.“Following the expiration of compliance notices, LAWMA’s Waste Investigation, Surveillance and Enforcement (WISE) team has commenced the sealing of non-compliant shops and plazas along the Tejuosho–Ojuelegba corridor,” he said on his official X page.
