Kano rejects conversion of Jambulo afforestation complex to private plots
By Hadiza Yusuf The Kano State Government has rejected any move to convert parts of the historic Afforestation Programme Coordinating Unit (APCU) complex in Jambulo into private residential or commercial plots, insisting that the facility must remain for public environmental purposes.
He said the Kano State Government was prepared to support the Federal Ministry of Environment, NAGGW, the National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency (NESREA) and APCU in safeguarding the complex.
