Majid-Asgaripour/Wana News Agency/Reuters Iran has rejected as “unfounded” the United Arab Emirates’ accusation that it launched two missiles at the Gulf kingdom a day earlier, Iranian state media reported.

Iranian foreign ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei rejected the claim, warning regional states against making “unfounded accusations” and warning they should be vigilant against “false-flag operations,” according to Press TV.

Air defense forces in the UAE detected two ballistic missiles launched toward the country from Iran on Tuesday, the UAE Defense Ministry said, adding that only one fell inside its territorial waters.
