This came during the ambassador’s meeting on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, with board members of the Aswan Chamber of Commerce, chaired by Hossam Al-Ansari, in the presence of Suhair Al-Masry, Head of the Businesswomen Economic Council at the chamber, along with Indonesian embassy officials.

Al-Ansari stated that the chamber presented a list of Aswan’s mining resources and solar energy fields, seeking Indonesian expertise to support manufacturing solar power station components, which are currently imported.

The Indonesian embassy’s commercial attaché promised to organize this meeting soon to establish a shared market via Aswan, alongside agreeing to provide the chamber with a database of Indonesian traders and market needs.
