Gauteng parents urged to include addresses in school applications

“We want a person from Alexandra, from Tembisa, from Soshanguve, who would prefer their child to go to a school closer to work, to be able to use it.

The Gauteng Education Department has urged parents to include their residential work address when applying for Grade 1 and 8 placements for the 2027 academic year.

Gauteng Education MEC’s spokesperson, Onwabile Lubhelwana says the residential work address assists in placement of learners en-route to work for parents.
