Years later, Dr Chao Mbogho has just been named one of the nine women globally to win the 2026 Impact Prize, awarded by the Schlumberger Foundation to support women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.
The journey to becoming an Impact Prize winner began in 2015 as she pursued a doctorate in Computer Science at the University of Cape Town.
The curriculum combines one to two full-day in-person Saturday sessions a month, industry s and a virtual session every Thursday evening.
