By GhanaSummary NewsroomEgypt

Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty discussed on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, with Toshimitsu Imai, Chief Executive Officer of Japanese group Toyota Tsusho, ways to enhance economic and investment cooperation between Egypt and the group.

The minister also underscored Egypt’s interest in establishing a Japanese industrial zone in the Suez Canal Economic Zone and strengthening the presence of Japanese companies in the Egyptian market to benefit from the competitive advantages offered by the zone.

He expressed his aspiration to cooperate with the company in attracting Japanese investments and transferring technology and industrial expertise, particularly in light of Toyota Tsusho’s chairmanship of the Japanese side of the Egyptian-Japanese Business Council.
