
Finance Minister: LE 6 bln targeted for cash payment of third tranche of exporters’ dues
Finance Minister Ahmed Kouchouk said the government is targeting the allocation of six billion LE to pay in cash the third tranche of overdue dues owed to exporters for shipments made before July 1, 2024.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, the minister said more than LE 80 billion has been paid to exporters over the past six years, adding that the government aims to clear all outstanding dues within two years.
He noted that LE 48 billion has been allocated in the current budget to accelerate the provision of export support, while export subsidies reached LE 28 billion in fiscal year 2025/2026, marking annual growth of 55%.
