FAAN probes MMIA Terminal 2 fire scare, restores operations

By GhanaSummary NewsroomNigeria

By Dickson Omobola Normal operations have resumed at Terminal 2 of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, MMIA, Lagos, as the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, investigates a fire scare after preliminary findings showed there was no actual fire at the facility.

Agbebire, in the statement, said the reason for the activation of the fire suppression system was being investigated, adding that normal operations had resumed at the terminal.

Providing an update on the development, FAAN’s Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Mr Henry Agbebire, disclosed that the smoke observed in the affected area resulted from the discharge of the terminal’s FM-200 fire suppression system.
