Egypt’s Petroleum Minister reviews strategic gas project in Jordan

The project includes the construction of a gas compressor station in the Al-Khanasri area of northern Jordan for the Egyptian-Jordanian FAJR for Natural Gas Transmission and Supply Company.

Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi inspected a strategic gas infrastructure project in Jordan being carried out by Egyptian petroleum sector companies as part of the growing energy cooperation between the two countries.

Badawi said that the project will strengthen the role of the Arab Gas Pipeline in supporting energy security in Egypt and Jordan while improving the flexibility of gas supplies.
