Egypt tops 10 destinations for Uzbek tourists-Ambassador
Uzbekistan’s Ambassador in Cairo Mansurbek Kilichev, said that Egypt has officially ranked among the top 10 favourite travel destinations for Uzbek tourists, with about 26,000 Uzbeks ing the country during the first half of 2026, according to Uzbek statistics.
He said he expects the number of Uzbek tourists ing Egypt to rise further by the end of 2026, adding that tourism serves as an ideal bridge for cultural exchange while naturally opening new opportunities for trade and economic partnerships as relations between the Egyptian and Uzbek peoples continue to deepen.
Uzbek ors are drawn not only by Egypt’s world-class beach resorts and renowned hospitality, but also by the deep cultural, historical and spiritual ties linking the Egyptian and Uzbek peoples, making Uzbeks feel genuinely welcome in Egypt, Kilichev said.
