Egypt to launch West Mina gas project in December

Egypt’s Burullus Gas Company plans to bring the West Mina gas project into production in early December, with an initial output of 160 million cubic feet of natural gas per day, the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources said on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 .

The ministry said that Burullus Gas is also carrying out an acid stimulation programme to improve well performance by September, a move expected to increase production by an additional 40–60 million cubic feet per day.

The announcement came during a by Sayed Selim, Executive Managing Director of the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS), to Burullus Gas headquarters, where he reviewed the company’s current and future production plans.
