
Egypt takes official step to save Hossam Hassan from FIFA sanctions
The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) sent a legal memorandum to FIFA’s Disciplinary Committee to respond to inquiries regarding the events that occurred during the Egypt-Argentina World Cup match, RT reported on Sunday.
The memorandum was prepared and legally drafted under the supervision of international lawyer Mohamed el-Toubgy, in coordination with the EFA’s legal committee, and includes the arguments and documents upon which the Egyptian side based its defense.
According to Egyptian sources, the memorandum – comprising approximately 90 pages – includes legal responses and clarifications on all points and inquiries that FIFA requested the Egyptian side to address following the events of the match.
